Outcome
A sighting is stored only after you actively confirm an eligible live track while the alignment and sensor evidence are valid.
How to do it
- Align Sky Scanner with the aircraft and wait for the confirmation action to become available.
- Check callsign, registration and type before confirming.
- Choose I see this aircraft while the target is still visible.
- Review the success result and any newly discovered type, family, operator or registration.
- Open Collection to find the saved sighting and its later history.
Good to know
- Demo or stale traffic cannot unlock the collection.
- Repeated confirmation of the same passage can be recognized as a duplicate instead of creating misleading progress.
- Exact sensor evidence stays local; only a reduced collection record is eligible for optional sync.
If the result looks different, open Settings > Help and send the visible status together with device, operating system and app version.
