Use MODE 1090 Locally or Sync Your Collection

Keep sightings only on one device or opt into free account-bound collection sync.

Outcome

Local use is the default; after sign-in, you can opt into a privacy-reduced collection sync between iPhone, iPad and Mac.

How to do it

  1. Keep using MODE 1090 without an account when one local collection is enough.
  2. To sync, sign in to the same verified account on each supported Flutter device.
  3. Open Account settings and enable collection sync.
  4. Wait for the status to report a successful synchronization before switching devices.
  5. Resolve duplicate or offline states from the same Account page and retry when the connection is stable.

Good to know

  • Exact location and sensor evidence are not part of the compact synchronized record.
  • Apple Watch and Apple TV do not contain the account or collection-sync interface.
  • Create a JSON backup before clearing local or synchronized data.
If the result looks different, open Settings > Help and send the visible status together with device, operating system and app version.
