Use MODE 1090 on Apple Watch

Use the independent wrist radar, nearby list, details, Digital Crown range and Handoff.

Outcome

The native Apple Watch app uses the Watch location for a focused live radar and can hand a selected aircraft to iPhone for the full view.

How to do it

  1. Open MODE 1090 on Apple Watch and allow location access.
  2. Switch between radar and nearby list, then select an aircraft for compact details.
  3. Rotate the Digital Crown to change range between 10, 20, 30 and 40 nautical miles.
  4. Open Settings to choose view style, airport markers and OLED presentation.
  5. Use Handoff on a selected aircraft to continue in MODE 1090 on iPhone.

Good to know

  • The Watch app does not contain Collection, account, backup or Sky Scanner.
  • The complication is a launch and glance surface; live refresh timing is controlled by watchOS.
  • Available platform functions in the current Watch app do not show a separate Premium gate.
