Privacy, Data Sources and Photo Credits

Understand what stays local, what optional sync sends and how live-data and photo sources are credited.

MODE 1090 keeps the collection local by default and shows provenance where external live, route, weather or aircraft media is used.

How to do it

Open Settings and review Privacy, Legal and Media credits.
Check live status and source attribution before interpreting aircraft or weather data.
Open aircraft details to read photo author and provider attribution.
Use the photo source link, or the QR code on Apple TV, to visit the credited original page.
Enable account sync only when you want the reduced collection record on other devices.

Good to know

Sky Scanner uses the camera as a viewfinder and does not save or upload a photo.
Precise sensor evidence stays local; optional sync is account-bound and intentionally reduced.
External sources keep their own licenses and availability rules.

If the result looks different, open Settings > Help and send the visible status together with device, operating system and app version.
